The iconic deep black marble fractured by bold white calcite roots, defining timeless monochromatic architecture.
BLACK MARQUINA gains its authority from a dense dark ground interrupted by decisive white mineral lines. The strongest pieces combine large areas of uninterrupted black with veining that has clear direction and sufficient spacing; an overly fragmented section can lose the material’s graphic restraint. OYLIN uses it for lighting bodies, bases and furniture details where silhouette and contrast matter. Before cutting, vein placement is considered against edges, apertures and metal junctions. The objective is not to make every component identical, but to ensure that each natural composition supports the geometry of the finished object.
