Black Marquina Marble
Why OYLIN Selects
Ink Cloud Marble
A highly expressive natural marble featuring a dramatic interplay between a crisp white base and intense, sweeping black and charcoal veining. Like a traditional ink wash painting captured in stone, this material is characterized by its bold fluidity and high-contrast geological movement. It is a material that refuses to be ignored, bringing a strong, artistic rhythm and dynamic energy to any interior space.
High-contrast geological fluidity — capturing the dynamic rhythm of ink on a white canvas.
Ink Cloud Marble
Ink Cloud Marble is OYLIN's name for a striking, high-contrast natural marble selected for its crisp white background and the powerful, fluid movement of its dark veining.
Unlike stones selected for their subtle quietness, Ink Cloud Marble is chosen for its undeniable visual voice. Its character is inherently dynamic: sharp, unpredictable strikes of black and deep grey traversing a clean, luminous field. The veining can range from delicate, wispy lines to thick, dramatic swaths that resemble brushstrokes.
From any distance, it reads as a bold, artistic composition. Up close, the edges of the veins reveal the immense pressure and heat that forged the stone deep within the earth.
This powerful visual presence—high contrast, fluid movement, and natural artistry—is why OYLIN selects the material for statement lighting and highly expressive interior objects.
Pattern Selection
No two pieces are identical.
Ink Cloud Marble is a natural geological material. The distribution, thickness, and intensity of the black veining are completely unpredictable. One piece may be heavily veined, while another may be mostly white with a single, dramatic strike. OYLIN does not attempt to eliminate these differences. We select, compose and craft around them, treating each piece as a unique composition. That individuality is part of what makes natural stone worth preserving.
