Red Travertine is a naturally layered stone defined by warm red, terracotta and muted rose tones, together with characteristic pores and sedimentary mineral bands.

RED TRAVERTINE combines terracotta, brick red and muted rose in layered sedimentary bands, interrupted by the pores and cavities that give travertine its tactile identity. Colour and void structure must be considered together: a visually strong band may also contain openings that influence a thin edge, corner or fixing. Depending on use, pores may remain open, be selectively filled, or receive a filled and honed finish for frequently touched surfaces. OYLIN reviews the warm-to-light colour sequence, band direction and cavity density on the actual batch before cutting. Natural openings are not automatically defects, but their location and treatment form part of the approved fabrication specification.

Stone & Light

Natural stone can read differently under diffuse daylight, warm ambient light and directional grazing light. Veining, mineral contrast and surface depth may appear softer or more pronounced depending on the viewing angle, finish, cut orientation and thickness.

For lighting and made-to-order applications, OYLIN reviews the current material together with the product construction before production. Where light transmission is relevant to a design, the actual stone and intended light source should be assessed together rather than inferred from library imagery alone.

Natural stone should be cleaned with a soft cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner appropriate to the material and finish. Avoid highly acidic or abrasive cleaners unless a material-specific care method has been confirmed.

Colour, veining, mineral markings and tonal distribution vary naturally. Surface finish changes both appearance and maintenance behaviour, while fabrication decisions such as thickness and cut direction can affect the finished object. Project material is therefore reviewed before production.
