Care & Longevity
Care requirements depend on the binder, aggregate composition and surface finish of the specific terrazzo. Until the material specification is confirmed, use a soft cloth and a mild pH-neutral cleaner, and avoid abrasive tools, strong acids, strong alkalis and aggressive chemical cleaners.

Geological FAQ
Starlight Terrazzo is OYLIN's name for a pale terrazzo surface characterized by scattered mineral aggregates suspended within a quiet white matrix. Its appearance is created not by natural veining, but by the relationship between aggregate size, distribution, tone and the surrounding binder.
Unlike a monolithic natural stone, terrazzo is a composite material. Its final character therefore depends on both the selected aggregate and the matrix that binds those fragments into a continuous surface.

Starlight Terrazzo is intentionally restrained. The aggregate remains close in tone to the matrix, allowing texture to emerge without turning the surface into a graphic pattern.

Why OYLIN Selects Starlight Terrazzo
Why OYLIN Selects Starlight Terrazzo
OYLIN selects Starlight Terrazzo for the quiet order created by countless small fragments.
From a distance, the material appears almost white—calm, continuous and restrained.
Move closer, and the apparent simplicity begins to separate into mineral fragments of different sizes, shapes and shades of pale grey.
No single fragment dominates the surface. Its character emerges through repetition, spacing and subtle variation.
Like a quiet night sky, the whole is created by points rather than lines.
Consistency & Variation
Every piece is naturally individual.
Material Variation Notice
Starlight Terrazzo is a composite material, and individual pieces may show variations in aggregate size, distribution, orientation, tone and matrix appearance. These variations are part of the material's visual character. Reference samples indicate the general appearance of the selected finish but should not be interpreted as a guarantee of identical aggregate placement.
Is Starlight Terrazzo natural stone?
No. Terrazzo is a composite material rather than a single piece of naturally formed rock. Depending on its formulation, however, it may contain natural stone or other mineral aggregates.
Is terrazzo the same as marble?
No. Marble is a naturally formed rock. Terrazzo is manufactured by combining aggregates with a binding matrix and finishing the resulting surface.
Why does Starlight Terrazzo contain visible fragments?
Visible aggregates are an intentional part of terrazzo's material structure. Their size, shape, color and distribution contribute to the final appearance.
Does every piece of Starlight Terrazzo look identical?
No. Aggregate placement and distribution can vary between pieces even when produced from the same material specification.
Is Starlight Terrazzo translucent?
Translucency should not be assumed from appearance alone. Light transmission depends on the binder, aggregate composition, thickness and construction and requires material-specific testing.
How should Starlight Terrazzo be cleaned?
Care depends on its exact composition. Until the binder and aggregate specifications are confirmed, mild pH-neutral cleaning and non-abrasive methods are the conservative approach.
